Breakfast

  • 1 cup natural raisin bran (3)
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk (1)
  • 1/2 cup fresh red raspberries (0)

Snack

  • 1 Kashi cereal bar (2)

Lunch

  • 1/2 cornmeal waffle w/wheat germ & flaxseed (2)
  • 1 oz. 1/3-less-fat cream cheese (2)
  • 1 Tbs almond butter (3)
  • 1 fresh peach (1)
  • 1 square dark chocolate (3)

Dinner

  • 1.5 cups natural raisin bran (5)
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk (1)

I was in Portland all day for a training session at work. We had an hour and a half break for lunch, and everyone–I mean EVERYONE–left to walk across the street to get fast food. I had brought a packed lunch, and though I did consider eating out with my coworkers anyway, I ultimately chose to stay behind and stick with my healthy meal. I’m so glad I did! My food was delicious and I know I would have felt terrible if I’d given in and gone with everyone. Plus, I had the entire auditorium (with cushy stadium seats) to myself, so I spread out, and read a good book with my lunch for an hour and a half. :-)
